What are the levels of swim lessons?
Parent-Child is for ages 6 months to 3 years. These classes are designed to introduce your child(ren) to the water early, and help prepare them for success in Preschool and Swim School lessons. Our instructors will teach parents how to introduce your child(ren) to the water safely and comfortably. Parents or an adult are required to enter the water with children during this swim lesson. Preschool lessons are for ages 3 to 5 years. Our instructors guide preschoolers through the basics of water exploration in a safe and fun manner. Classes are divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Students who progress through all three levels are often ready to move right to Stroke School when they turn 5 years old. Swim School is for ages 5 years and up. Instructors work with students on the basics of swimming and water fitness. Students work on skills such as submerging, floating, gliding, and rhythmic breathing. Swim School is divided into three courses: Face and Float, Glide and Movement, and Breathing and Development. Children often need to enroll in more than one session to master all these skills. Once they master Breathing and Development, they can move to Stroke School. Stroke School is for ages 5 years and up, and participants who have completed or
