Good afternoon all,

As we wrap up the month of May, which is National Historic Preservation Month, the Historic Preservation Commission will be holding their annual preservation awards ceremony tomorrow, Wednesday, June 1, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the National Museum of Forest Service History (6305 Hwy 10 West, 1 mile west of the airport just past Butler Creek Rd.) to recognize six individuals/groups that have completed projects in the last five years that have helped to preserve Missoula's cultural and historic landscape. We will also recognize this year’s three Legacy Businesses (The USDA Forest Service Region One, the Wilma theater, and the Western Montana Clinic) for their decades of service to the Missoula area. The event is free and will feature light beverages and snacks. Please join us in celebrating the folks who continue to provide models for the successful preservation of our historic sites and work to protect and enhance Missoula's sense of place!
