Upcoming Our Missoula Community Engagement Events


Our Missoula: Growth Policy Update and Code Reform will work with the community to update Missoula’s vision for future growth and to modernize the development regulations. Join us at these upcoming events to hear about the Equity In Land Use Report and participate in a facilitated forum to share about your lived experiences as they relate to housing, growth, and development.

July 24, 2023: 12:00 pm-1:00 pm: Virtual Presentation, Our Missoula Equity In Land Use Report and Update. Meeting information and Teams link here.

August 3, 2023: 6:00 pm-7:30 pm: Westside Park, Lowell School Amphitheater. Snacks and cold drinks will be provided.

Our Missoula will also be at all the upcoming City Chats in the Parks.

The City of Missoula invites you to a new community engagement initiative called City Chats in the Parks. This innovative series allows you to ask questions, share your ideas, and connect with City staff in a relaxed, informal setting. There is no formal presentation; drop by any time between 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

Please join us at the next City Chat on Wednesday, July 26, at Bonner Park, 1600 Ronald, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served. 

Departments represented at the July 26 event include Community Planning, Development and Innovation and our Electrify Missoula and Our Missoula projects; Fire Department: Mobile Support Team; Missoula In Motion; Parks and Recreation; Police Department: Crisis Intervention Team and the Missoula Redevelopment Agency.

Transform Brooks Community Advisory Committee

The City of Missoula and Mountain Line have launched the Transform Brooks - Connect Midtown project that's focused on defining safety and mobility improvements along Brooks Street between Reserve Street and Mount Avenue. The study will develop transit, walking, biking, and roadway improvement designs.

A Transform Brooks Community Advisory Committee has been developed to provide community-centered leadership and insight during key moments in the Transform Brooks - Connect Midtown project; and support outreach and connection between communities and the planning team.

Individuals of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds who utilize public transit, care about safe streets and mobility in the Midtown area, or are interested in engaging with fellow community members on the project are encouraged to apply.

Committee members are asked to --

  • Participate in 4 advisory meetings from August 2023 - June 2024 
  • Attend and provide leadership during community events and input opportunities 
  • Support engagement with your community in ways that utilize your strengths and knowledge

Committee members will be offered reimbursements for transportation, child care, or other costs incurred to participate.
