MFD Call Volume
In 2019 the Missoula Fire Department (MFD) responded to 8924 total calls for service. That equates to approximately 25 calls per day. A little over 66% of the 2019 calls were for medical assistance and rescue while fire responses, hazardous materials response, false alarms and a variety of other calls made up the difference.
Since 2001, MFD has more than doubled their call volume, making Missoula the second busiest Fire Department in the state.
